Fastest Motorcycle In The World
Dodge Tomahawk $550,000
Wanna know
what's the fastest motorbike? Well, it's the Dodge Tomahawk, a prototype with an
unusual design, featuring the 500 hp (373 kW) 8.3 L
V10 engine from the Dodge Viper. The motorcycle has two front wheels and two
rear wheels to aid in turning and stability at highest rate of speed. There's
only one problem. This motorcycle cannot be legally driven on public roads.
According to a Chrysler official, it was designed as a "rolling sculpture," but
since the makers sold nine replicas through Neiman Marcus, for up to $555,000
each, there are a few happy owners who enjoy it on private roads.

The Dodge Tomahawk can reach 60 miles an hour in about 2.5 seconds, and has a
theoretical top speed of nearly 400 mph. The weirdest thing about it is the fact
that it's got four wheels, two in the front and two in the back, closely packed,
which make it look like it rolled out the set of a sci-fi
movie. Each pair of
wheels is separated by a few inches and each wheel has an independent suspension.
The four wheels were necessary to handle the power from the huge engine, that
gives out 500 bhp at 5600 rpm and a huge 525 lb.-ft of torque. The V10 has a 505
cubic inches (8277 cc) displacement and is liquid-cooled, with a maximum speed
of 6000 rpm.
It's a true monster, deeper and more rumbling than most motorcycles, that can
only drink 93 octane unleaded premium gasoline.
According to the official specs 0-60 mph times have been estimated
at 2.5 seconds, with an estimated top speed of 300+ mph. But there are also
reports that the top speed is 676 km/h (about 420 mph). Dodge has expressed
interest in one day taking it to the
